Responsibilities

The graduate council has the following responsibilities:

  1. Act as link and provide feedback to the ME Graduate Program Committee and ME Graduate Chair.
  2. Aid in the organization of and provide assistance for the Prospective Student Weekend.
  3. Implement a mentoring program for new graduate students.
  4. Organize the annual ME graduate student symposium.
  5. Provide social activities for the ME graduate student body.
  6. Assist in student placement and networking.

Membership

The council is open to everyone. The maximum term a member can serve is two years.

It is a goal of the council to have a diverse membership (Masters/Ph.D., U.S./international, etc.) to more effectively represent and reflect the interests and needs of the ME graduate student body.
