The Mechanical Engineering Student Leader Board (MESLB) was established and officially recognized in the Fall of 1995. It is comprised of the presidents and/or representatives of :

• The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
• Pi Tau Sigma (PTS)
• Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
• Unified Minorities in Mechanical Engineering (UMME)
• Undergraduate Student Advisory Board (USAB)
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate Council (MEGC)
• At-large members from the student body

The Board was established to enhance the overall educational experience of Mechanical Engineering students by improving communication and fostering a greater sense of community and cooperation among various student groups. It also acts in an advisory capacity to the ME Department Chair, Dennis Assanis.
