Wilsonpalooza 2007: Thursday May 24, 2007 (6pm)

In honor of the recent retirement of William R.D. Wilson, past president of NAMRI and SME fellow, a celebration of his outstanding career will be held on Thursday evening starting at 6:00 pm.

The location selected is the Heidelberg Restaurant, 215 North Main Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104-1412. The only cost is that associated with dinner, from a special menu for the Wilsonpalooza festival.

A short program has been prepared, but an opportunity will be provided for any interested attendee to participate with a short presentation or statement. Among Bill's professional achievements are the Wilson-Walowit equation, the SAE Arch T. Colwell Merit Award, the ASME Blackall Award, and the NAMRI presidency in 1997-1998. He is well-known for his many and substantial contributions to metal forming, lubrication theory, and CAD/CAM. To his friends and colleagues, Bill is best known for his loud and welcoming laugh, great sense of humor and known affinity for sailing, and love of family and friends. Please join us in congratulating Bill for a long and successful career and his promotion to Emeritus Professor and Grandfatherhood.
