Call for Papers
Goals of the Meeting
The meeting will provide a forum for exchanging ideas, methods and
results and for promoting interaction among engineering scientists and
researchers. All areas of engineering science and applied mechanics are of interest.

Additional symposia will be added as late as May 13, 2003.
General sessions will also be offered.
The Proceedings will consist of one page abstracts. Symposium
organizers may negotiate with publishers and journals for publication of full
papers based on the presentations.

Meeting Site
The meeting will be held at the Michigan League on the campus of
The University of Michigan. For lodging information, follow links to other

Student Paper Competition
Special sessions will be held for a competition among graduate and
undergraduate student presenters. There will be financial assistance for
participants and prizes for the top three presenters. See the conference web
page for additional details.
Related Activities
A reception will be held Sunday evening (Oct. 12) at the Michigan
League. A conference banquet is planned for Tuesday evening. October is an
especially pleasant time to visit due to the vibrant fall colors of the trees.
