Statement of the problem
This is a very simple two dimensional kinematic problem. A cannonball
is fired as shown in the above picture. We are looking for the displacement,
velocity of the cannonball.
Exercises
- By moving the Slider or input a number in the box, set mass
of B, for example, 150 kg.
- Set initial velocity of the ball to its maximum.
- Set the initial angle of ball equal to zero.
- Run the program until the ball hit the ground then Stop
it.
- Reset program but do not Erase Track, repeat
the procedure 1-4. But this time try different initial angle to see which
angle gives the ball maximum displacement in horizontal direction. According
to your textbook, the initial angle of
gives you the maximum displacement, is it true? Why?
- Keep the initial angle as

difference from your observation?
