College of Engineering Bulletin
This has information , including descriptions , on all of the courses offered in the College of Engineering, including the degree plan for ME students. It list student services (MEPO), Wise, etc.), career services, and academic services. There are also sections on financial aid, academic rules and procedures (drop/add, pass/fail...), and graduate school. Th Bulletin can be found in the ME ASO (2206 GGB), and many other academic offices on campus.
Engineering Career Resource Center - Career Manual)
This manual describes the resources available to students at the ECRC. It also contains valuable interviewing tips, resume writing tips, and tips for picking a job. The Career Manual can be picked up in the ECRC (Chrysler Center).
GEM Engineering and Career Guidebook
This book answers questions about deciding whether to go to graduate school, how to pick a graduate school, and how to get funding for your degree. I also discusses internships and putting together a resume. This book has information on some fellowships that are available to minority students. the book can be picked up at two different magazine racks: across from the Minority Engineering Program Office (1458 LEC), or across from 1408 LEC.
LSA Course Guide
This publication includes contact information for LS&A classes, and everything else related to LS&A that you can think of.... this guide on the web has the final say on all HU/SS designations. The LS&A Course is no longer printed, but all of the information can be found on the Website.
ME 490 List
This is a somewhat comprehensive list of 490 projects that are being offered for a term. It is compiled by Pi Tau Sigma students, who gather project information from professors. The list includes descriptions of 490 projects and how many students the professor are looking for. You can find this list at the Pi Tau Sigma office (1117 GGB), or see the peer counselor in the ASO (2206 GGB).
Mediation Pamphlet
The mediation pamphlet outlines what the purpose of a mediation is and who does this for the University. Mediation are held in situations of roommate tensions, dating relationships, work or classroom disputes, etc. The pamphlet can be picked up at student Mediation Services (MSA, 3909 Michigan Union).
Michigan Women's Handbook
The handbook contains a lot of useful history and health information for women. It discusses women on campus, past and present, women's health and nutrition, violence against women, College activities to get involved in, financial aid, and plans for after graduation. The handbook can be picked up from the Michigan Women's Handbook Collective (MSA, 3909 Michigan Union).
Student Calendar Handbook
The student calendar handbook has useful information for all engineering students, including information on student societies, student career and advising resources, study tips, and leadership and service opportunities. The handbook can be picked up in the UMEC office (1230 EECS).
University Time Schedule
This contains the time schedule of all classes offered by U-M, and also shows exam times and a term calendar. A fee rate for students is also found here. The time schedule can be picked up in the ME Academic Services Office (2206 GGB). Note that changes are made to course schedules after the time schedule is printed.
