ME 599: Scientific Foundations for Environmental Improvement in Manufacturing

Scientific Foundations for Environmental Improvement in Manufacturing offers an introduction to technical environmental issues in manufacturing. The course is structured in three parts, corresponding to a Life Cycle Assessment:

  • Part I: Inventory of technologies and processes leading to pollution generation in the metals, semiconductor, plastics, and power industries.
  • Part II: Impacts of pollutants generated in manufacturing.
  • Part III: Strategies and technologies for simultaneous environmental and economic improvement in manufacturing.
