Most hotels are within walking distance to the Racham Building where the symposium will be held. Please book directly with the establishment, mentioning that you are attending ISAM 2007. Travel
Ann Arbor, a university town of 110,000 people, is located 40 miles (60km) west of Detroit along the banks of the Huron River. Regularly listed among the best places to live in the US, Ann Arbor's cosmopolitan ambiance is matched only by its classic, small town charm.
The newly remodeled Detroit Metro Airport, less than 30 minutes drive from Ann Arbor, welcomes nonstop flights from more than 60 cities in the US and dozens of international destinations. From the airport, take a shuttle (from US$35.00) or a taxi (US$40.00-50.00) to Ann Arbor. If you are driving, below is the driving direction from Detroit Metro Airport to Rackham Building where the symposium will be held:
- Go onto Merriman rd. (0.3 miles). Merge onto I-94 W toward CHICAGO (21.2 miles). Take the State st. exit - EXIT 177 (0.3 miles). Turn right onto S. State St. Continue on State for approximately 2 miles. Take a right on Washington. Rackham will be the second building on your left.
Parking in the campus of the University of Michigan and within its walking distance is very difficult and is not advised. If your hotel is not within walking distance of the symposium venue, please refer to this link for the campus visitor parking and the city public parking.
