Submit Papers or Session Proposals
Initial submission
Authors are invited to submit papers and proposals for organized sessions on all aspects of assembly and manufacturing by December 1, 2006 December 15, 2006. Papers and session proposals should be submitted electronically in IEEE-compatible PDF format to the on-line submission site hosted by the PaperPlaza Conference Management System.
All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed for their technical quality and suitability to the symposium scope. For the initial submission for peer review, papers are limited to 8 pages in the two-column, IEEE conference format. The paper templates in Word and LaTex are available at the on-line submission site.
An organized session can be formed by 4-5 related papers accepted through the same peer-review process as other papers. A 1-2 page proposal including the title and abstracts of the papers to be included in the session should be submitted. There is no special format required for the session proposal.
Final submission
Upon the completion of the peer-review process, authors are notified for the acceptance/rejection of their papers and session proposals by March 5 , 2007 March 19, 2007. The final version of the accepted papers should be submitted in IEEE-compatible PDF format to the on-line submission site hosted by the PaperPlaza Conference Management System by April 6 , 2007 April 15, 2007.
For the final submission, papers are limited to 6 pages in the two-column, IEEE conference format. Up to 2 extra pages are allowed with excess page charge of USD $150 per page.
The submitted final papers will be included in the conference CD proceedings as well as in IEEE Xplore. To ensure the compatibility of the PDF files to IEEE Xplore, the authors are strongly advised to use the IEEE PDF eXpress™, a free Web-based tool for preparing for IEEE-compatible PDF files. For instruction, please see this page.
One of the co-authors of the accepted papers must be registered by paying full (i.e., non-student) registration fee before the paper can be uploaded for the final submission. The on-line submission site will be linked to the registration site (link to be done) in the final submission process. The IEEE Copyright form also needs to be completed electronically at that time.
