Three MEAM assistant professors have received prestigious Early Career Development Awards from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Assistant Professors William J. Endres, Huei Peng, and
Liwei Lin each received a $200,000 grant to pursue new and current research projects over a four-year period.
NSF CAREER awards recognize outstanding new faculty who intend to develop
academic careers involving both research and education. The award supports projects that stimulate the discovery process in which the excitement of research is enhanced by inspired teaching and
enthusiastic learning.
