    Undergraduates David Hsai and Scott Weber both received R&B Machine Tool Co. Scholarship Awards and are the 1998-99 R&B Machine Tool Co. Scholars.

    Graduate students Stephanie LaCrosse and Amir Oliveria received American Society for Engineering Education's (ASEE) 1997-98 Outstanding Student Instructor Awards which recognize exemplary teaching and encourage interested students in continuing their teaching careers. This is the second time that Oliveria has received this award. Elizabeth Smith won honorable mention.

    Kristin Miller was named the Initiate of the Term at Pi Tau Sigma's (PTS) Winter Term banquet.

    Gene Parunak has successfully completed the requirements of the Senior Moves in the U.S. Figure Skating Association's Field Test, the highest moves test attainable. The Senior Moves and Senior Free Skating Test are needed to qualify to compete at regional, section, and national championships at the championship free skating level.

    Kimberly Tittjung received the 1998-99 3M Scholarship/Internship for excellence in academic achievement.

    MEAM Professor and Graduate Programs Chair Christophe Pierre greets students at the second annual MEAM Prospective Graduate Student Weekend on March 28-30. MEAM hosted 46 top students from around the country for an informative, fun-filled MEAM experience--with nearly 50 percent accepting admission here.
