Pierre Receives Timoshenko Chair Honor
Professor Christophe Pierre has been named the Stephen P. Timoshenko Collegiate Professor of Mechanical Engineering. The honor is named for the former professor of engineering mechanics at the University of Michigan, who was a member of the faculty 1927-1936. Pierre will hold the position for five years... Stefanopoulou Wins Top National Honor
Anna Stefanopoulou, assistant professor of ME, has been named one of the "World's Top 100 Young Innovators" by Technology Review. The award was made last spring by the publication, and it is presented to individuals under the age of 35 who have made significant contributions in their field. Stefanopoulou's work is focused on automotive control, with an emphasis on control of advanced internal combustion engines, fuel cell power systems, fuel processing, and hydrogen reforming...
