MESLB Welcomes 2004-05 Board

The Mechanical Engineering Student Leader Board recently welcomed 2004-05 board members (left to right) Kiran D'Souza, Graduate Representative; Danielle Sita, USAB Representative; Eric Dayringer, ASME Representative; David Pekarek, PTS Representative; Vernon Newhouse, UMME Representative.

Among other activities last fall, board members organized the 2nd Annual ME Townhall Meeting, which took place in November and gave a chance for the students and administration to ask questions and receive feedback from each other. They also planned a newly declared/transferred students mixer with the MESLB to introduce them to the various Mechanical Engineering societies. This Winter they are planning, in conjunction with the ME department administration, an ME Honors Banquet for students in Mechanical Engineering with exceptional achievement. Each term the group also meets with the ME Department Chair and Undergraduate Program Chair to discuss issues/concerns of the student body and administration.
