A warm welcome to:
Lenea Howe, student services associate I in the Academic Services Office (ASO), who previously served as a student services assistant II in Epidemiology. She replaces Carla Curley.

Congratulations to:
Melissa Eljamal, program coordinator, and her husband, Akram, who are the proud parents of Khalil, born February 2, 1999. He was 8 lb., 3 oz.
Lynn J. Buege, engineer III, Pat Ferullo, office assistant IV, Paula Wilks, administrative assistant II, and Charles Wiykovics, computer systems specialist II, who received "U Matter!" awards for their outstanding initiative and contributions to MEAM.
Susan Gow, student services associate II, who was selected to serve on the Administrative Study Team for the review of the Center for Professional Development. The group's charge was to diagnose the current state of administrative functions and make recommendations for change.

U-M MEAM CPO / Shekinah Errington
Engineering Technician II Todd Wilber presents test models created by students in ME 495 / Laboratory II during Fall '98. The models, which were designed to demonstrate the greatest and least coefficient of drag, are featured in a new display by the first floor entrance of the Walter E. Lay Automotive Laboratory.

Janet Grenier, lab services supervisor, Biomechanics Research Lab, on becoming a grandmother for the first time. Her daughter, Heather, and husband, Joseph, are the happy parents of Liam Eugene, born on February 18, 1999.
Linore Latham, who was promoted from financial clerk III to office assistant IV.
Steve Maser, who was promoted from computer systems consultant III to systems project coordinator.

Laura Vespaziani, who was promoted from administrative assistant II to administrative associate I.
Paula Wilks, who was promoted from administrative assistant I to administrative assistant II. She also performed a solo in a recent concert by the Swing Singers at Slauson Middle School.
Charles Wiykovics, who was promoted from Computer Systems Specialist II to Senior Computer Systems Specialist. m
