[Remember MEAM This New Year]

[A]s you ring in the New Year, think about the things that have meant a lot to you through the years--and remember MEAM. A gift to MEAM will benefit our students, faculty, laboratories, programs, and research for a long time to come.
This year, honor someone close to you by contributing to MEAM in his or her name. Your donation will make a memorable present to someone you care about--while greatly impacting the Department's efforts to attract outstanding students and conduct groundbreaking research. So, consider a gift that will last long after the holly is put away, the sweets are gone, and the snow has melted. We welcome your donation to any of our following funds:

The Robert Caddell Memorial
This award was established in 1990 in honor of Professor Caddell to recognize contributions to basic research in the materials/manufacturing area.

The Ivor K. McIvor Memorial
This award was established in 1978 to honor Professor McIvor, the last chair of the Applied Mechanics and Engineering Services Department, to recognize outstanding scholastic and research performance by graduate students in applied mechanics.

The William Mirsky Memorial
This award was established in honor of Professor Mirsky to recognize outstanding research at the master's level.

Student Financial Aid
With your support, MEAM's strong financial aid helps the Department attract excellent students to our program. Ongoing gifts are needed--and appreciated--for both undergraduate and graduate students. You may designate your support to either undergraduate or graduate students.

MEAM Student Machine Shop
Hands-on learning sets MEAM apart from many other undergraduate and graduate programs, and our Student Machine Shop is an important setting for students to complete their projects. Your gifts help MEAM continue to upgrade the facility and purchase new equipment.

The S.M. Wu Lectureship on
Manufacturing Sciences

Established by Daisy Wu in honor of her late husband, Professor S.M. (Sam) Wu, to promote intellectual exchange between U-M researchers and other internationally recognized leaders.

As a donor to MEAM, you're a part of the College of Engineering (CoE) family, too. All gifts and donations to MEAM received during a calendar year go toward attaining the six CoE giving recognition levels. They are:
