Congratulations to:

Anna Babbitt, administrative associate II, who was named an Outstanding Non-Teaching Staff Member Finalist by the Tau Beta Pi (TBP) Society in recognition of outstanding service and assistance to the scholastic pursuits of engineering students at the U-M.

Shekinah Errington, senior graphic artist, who served as chairperson for a successful holiday exhibition of the Garden City Fine Arts Association in December. She also produced, hosted, and edited her first television special entitled “The Garden City Fine Arts Association Spring Exhibit” that aired on Garden City Comcast Cable’s LA-TV in November and December.

Kim Ficaro, administrative associate II, and her husband, Ed, on the birth of their daughter, Maria Kristine, on September 26. She weighed 7 lbs. 15 ozs., and was 19-3/4 in. long. Welcome back, Kim!

Claudia Hill, administrative associate I, and her husband, Scott, on the birth of their daughter, Amelia Jeanette, on November 5. She weighed 6 lbs. 11oz and was 19-1/2 in.

Michael Napolitan, building services coordinator, and his wife, Amy, who are the proud parents of a daughter, Megan Rose, born September 10. She weighed 7 lbs. and was 20 in. long.

Michael Anderson, assistant editor, in the S.M. Wu Manufacturing Research Center (WuMRC), who previously worked at Nicola’s Little Professor Book Co. Judith Brown, research secretary IV, with Professor Panos Y. Papalambros, who previously was an academic secretary IV in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). Ana Cabrera, administrative assistant II, in the Biomechanics Research Lab, who served as an accountant in Internal Medicine. She replaces Jennifer Taylor. Kathleen Crothers, research secretary III, in the WuMRC, who came from the U-M Business School where she worked as a temporary secretary. Linda Jeffery, research secretary III, with Professor A. Galip Ulsoy. She recently relocated here from the Pittsburgh area. Robert (Jeff) King, engineer III, in the Advanced Technology Laboratories with Associate Research Scientist Johann Borenstein. He most recently served as an electronics engineer/consultant with Aero Data Systems in Farmington, MI. William Kirkpatrick, senior engineering technician, who came from Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME) where he held a similar position. He replaces Tim Kuebler. Melissa McGeorge, academic secretary III, in the Main Office, who was a secretary III in the Undergraduate Admissions Office. She replaces Jennifer McKissick. Michelle (Shelly) Piper, academic services secretary IV, who serves as secretary to the MEAM Graduate Programs. She came from the U-M Department of Human Resources and Affirmative Action. Michelle (Shelly) Rau, academic secretary III in the main office, who previously served as student services assistant I at the College of Literature, Sciences and Arts (LS&A). She replaces Teresa Vogel. Doris Swanson, administrative assistant II in the Financial Office, who came from Eastern Michigan University (EMU) where she served as an accountant. She replaces Sherri Craft.
