Abstract:
In the first part of my talk, we shall discuss the asymptotic stability of noisy auto-parametric systems and develop dimensional reduction techniques which consists of a sequence of averaging procedures that are uniquely adapted to study these systems.
In the second part of my talk, we shall develop mathematical techniques to obtain finite dimensional equations in order to systematically study the mechanism of spindle speed variation for chatter suppression.
