American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
ASME seeks to promote and enhance the technical competency and professional well-being of its members, and through quality programs and activities in mechanical engineering, better enable its practitioners to contribute to the well-being of humankind.
Mechanical Engineering Graduate Council
The graduate council is a student body that represents the interests of the graduate student body at the department of mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor through a variety services, events, and social activities aimed at heightening the graduate student body.
Mechanical Engineering Student Leader Board (MESLB)
MESLB is a dedicated committee of students and faculty whose goal is to improve the experience of all mechanical engineering students at the University of Michigan, to provide a voice for the students to the administration by improving communication and fostering a greater sense of community and cooperation among various student groups, and act in an advisory capacity to the Chair.
Nanotechnology & Integrated Microsystems Student Association (NIMSA)
NIMSA is an interdisciplinary academic career and social support network that targets undergraduate and graduate students in the fields of integrated microsystems and nanotechnology.
Pi Tau Sigma (PTS)
Pi Tau Sigma is the National Mechanical Engineering Honor Society and is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies. University of Michigan is represented through the Pi Rho chapter. The goals of the organization are to foster high ideals in the engineering profession, to stimulate and support departmental activities, to promote professional welfare and to develop leadership and citizenship.
Program for Community Engagement in Engineering Design (ProCEED)
ProCEED seeks to enhance the learning experience of university engineering students through design projects by linking the community and the students, enabling the students to apply their engineering knowledge to real world problems for the benefit of the community.
Unified Minority Mechanical Engineers (UMME)
The mission of the Unified Minority Mechanical Engineers is the recruitment, retention, and successful graduation of its members. The measure of their success is by the creation of a comfortable environment within the Mechanical Engineering Department for underrepresented minority students, accomplished by producing academic and professional support through various programs for all students.
