Special Instructions for International Students
- Be sure to follow all instructions from Rackham regarding your Form I-20. If you are missing documentation or your financial affidavit, be sure to send it in quickly so that you can receive your I-20 on time. E-mail rackadmis@umich.edu for questions.
- When you arrive on campus (and before you do anything else) go to the International Center and check in. Be sure to check their website for their Orientation dates.
- The University of Michigan (UM) requires certain entering international students to be screened for tuberculosis (TB). Please visit the following web site to learn about whether this applies to you: http://www.uhs.umich.edu/tbscreen/
- Make sure that you are registered for the AEE if you are required to take it. This determination is made by the Rackham Graduate School. For questions concerning this, please contact rackadmis@umich.edu.
- Check out the International Student Organizations. They can help solve unusual transportation and housing problems, and are a good general resource for international students.
