Advanced Math Requirements
The following classes are recommended as satisfying the advanced math requirement. The class must be elected for a letter-grade.
- ME400 - Mechanical Engineering Analysis
- MA354 - Fourier Analysis and its Applications
- MA417 - Matrix Algebra I
- MA450 - Advanced Mathematics for Engineers I
- MA454 - Boundary Value Problems for Partial Differential Equations
- MA371 - (EN371) Numerical Methods for Engineers & Scientists
- MA471 - Introduction to Numerical Methods
- CEE303 (EN303) Computational Methods for Engineers & Scientists
- STAT412 - Introduction to Probability and Statistics
- STAT425 / MA425 - Introduction to Probability
- STAT426 - Introduction to Theoretical Statistics
In general, any other mathematics course at the 300-level or higher that requires MA216 or MA215 as a prerequisite will also be acceptable.
SGUS students: only 400-level or higher courses will count towards the SGUS program.
