Fellowship Competitions
A prestigious fellowship is a means to make your Ph.D. studies standout relative to your peers. External fellowships also connect awardees to a National network of highly successful students and faculty.
Here is a list of fellowships to which you can consider applying. Note that fellowships have fixed deadlines and often require long lead-times to develop essays and secure support letters. So plan early! Not all fellowships are offered every year and eligibility requirements can be strict, so please read the instructions carefully before committing yourself and others to applying.
Make a timeline of when you will apply to which fellowships. A broader list of fellowships including those below is available from CoE in a calendar format; Rackham Conference Travel Grants and other Funding Resources are also available.
