In this year’s National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSFGRFP), Mechanical Engineering garnered three new graduate students. According to the NSF, the purpose of this program is to “help ensure the vitality and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce in the United States.” Winning the fellowship includes three years of support for the individual’s proposed studies, recognizing “outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees in fields within NSF’s mission.” This year’s winners are as follows:
