Borenstein receives OVPR Research Faculty Recognition Award

BorensteinThe Office of the Vice President of Research (OVPR) has awarded ME Research Professor Johann Borenstein with the 2011 Research Faculty Recognition Award. This award recognizes outstanding scholarly achievement, as evidenced by publications and/or other scholarly activities in any academic field. OVPR has selected Borenstein as the recipient of this year’s award for his significant contributions to his field of study over time.

Borenstein’s main field of interest is Mobile Robotics, specifically focusing on mobile robot positioning, unconventional robotic vehicles, obstacle avoidance, and robotic technologies for the disabled. Borenstein is the Head of the Mobile Robotics Lab and has co-authored over 150 publications.
