Daniel C. Drucker Medal Awarded to Barber

Professor James Barber has been elected to be the recipient of the 2009 American Society of Mechanical Engineers Daniel C. Drucker medal.

The Drucker medal is conferred in recognition of distinguished contributions to the field of applied mechanics and mechanical engineering through research, teaching and service to the community over a substantial period of time. It is one of the highest distinctions for a mechanics scholar’s career achievement.
