Dawn Tilbury receives SAE award for Women Leaders

Tilbury is recognized for strong leadership both personally and professionally by SAE.

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International has selected Dawn Tilbury for their 2022 J. Cordell Breed Award for Women Leaders. This award was established in 1999 by SAE Women Engineers Committee and is meant to recognize women active in all sectors of the mobility industry who have achieved the best balance of life both professionally and personally.

Dawn Tilbury is a professor of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering and computer science. Most recently she has the Office of the Vice President of Research (OVPR) as the associate vice president for research-convergence. Prior to her position at OVPR Tilbury served as the National Science Foundations head of the Directorate for Engineering. She has held many other titles and continues to show strong leadership across the engineering field.
