Krishna Garikipati is a professor of mechanical engineering and mathematics and has been announced as a Fellow of the U.S. Association for Computational Mechanics (USACM). He has been sited for,” the development of numerical methods applied to strongly nonlinear problems in living and nonliving material systems.” Garikipati works with nonlinear physics, applied mathematics, and numerical methods. Some specific projects he has been working on include mathematical models of patterning and morphogenesis in developmental biology, mathematical and physical modeling of tumor growth, and mechano-chemically driven phenomena in materials.
We congratulate Professor Krishna on this great honor.
