Filipi Receives SAE Award

FilipiThe Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has awarded ME Research Professor Zoran Filipi the 2009 Excellence in Oral Presentation Award for his talk entitled “Impact of Biodiesel, Kerosene and Synthetic Fuel on Medium-Duty Diesel Engine Combustion, NOx Emission and Particulate Spectra.” Filipi gave the award-winning talk at the SAE 2009 International Powertrains, Fuels and Lubricants Meeting held this past June in Florence, Italy.

Filipi was also recognized by SAE earlier this year when he received the 2009 Forest R. McFarland Award for his diligence and success as an SAE session organizer. In addition to his work as a research professor in the ME department, he serves as assistant director of the Automotive Research Center.
