Jeffery L. Stein Elected as ASME Fellow

 SteinME Professor Jeffery L. Stein has been elected to the grade of ASME Fellow.

Professor Stein has made, over his 30 plus year professional career, significant contributions to dynamic systems and control education and research in mechanical engineering; particularly with application to the dynamic modeling of automotive systems, manufacturing systems and biomechanical systems. He has been recognized for his professional accomplishments through several prestigious awards.

In addition, he has been very active in the Dynamic Systems and Control Division (DSCD) of ASME International, and has served in essentially every major capacity: Chair of the Executive Committee, Division Secretary, Associate Editor for the Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement and Control, IMECE Program Chair, and Honors and Awards committee member. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan.

Professor Stein will be formally recognized as a new ASME Fellow during the ASME DSCD Executive Committee meeting to be held on November 7 as part of the 2005 IMECE in Orlando, Florida.
