All interested individuals are invited to view three kinetic sculptures that will be exhibited in the Medium Union Gallery for one week starting Friday, September 6.
These projects involved a substantive collaboration between students from the School of Art & Design and the Department of Mechanical Engineering as part the course ME450 in Winter 2002 organized by ME Professor Steve Skerlos. Five-member teams composed of two students from Art & Design and three students from Mechanical Engineering were challenged to create original works of art that express an artistic theme through kinetic engineering principles.
The Media Union Gallery is open from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, and closed on Saturday. An opening reception is planned for Friday September 6, 4:30-6:00.
