ME Faculty Awards Announced

Ashley Bucsek, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, has received the  William N. Findley Award for her publication, “Resolving intragranular stress fields in plastically deformed titanium using point-focused high-energy diffraction microscopy.” This piece was published as an Invited Feature Article in the Journal of Materials Research. The William N. Findley Award is “given in recognition of research involving fatigue in metals and plastics, creep in metals and plastics, or yielding of metals.”

Neil Dasgupta, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, has won the E. & M. Ulsoy Citation Leader Award this year based on 2022 citations. Galip Ulsoy, C.D. Mote Jr. Distinguished University Professor Emeritus, Mechanical Engineering and William Clay Ford Professor Emeritus of Manufacturing, and his wife Susan Glowski have provided an endowment gift establishing the  E. & M. Ulsoy Citation Leader Award Fund. This award is provided “annually to the ME Faculty member who has the largest number of citations to his/her research work in the Scopus Database that year.”
