Professor Jwo Pan and his former student, Pai-Chen Lin, have received the Sam Y. Zamrik Literature Award from the ASME Pressure Vessels and Piping Division.
The award was presented at the 2008 ASME Pressure Vessels and Piping Conference in Chicago on July 30, in recognition of their technical paper published in the Journal of Pressure Vessel Technology in 2007, entitled “Asymptotic Crack-Tip Fields in Perfectly Plastic Solids under Mixed Model II/III Loading Conditions.”
