Professor Andre Boehman Elected to Fellow Grade of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers

Professor Andre Boehman has been elected to Fellow Grade of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). The ASME Committee of Past Presidents confers the Fellow grade of membership on worthy candidates to recognize their outstanding engineering achievements. Nominated by ASME Members and Fellows, an ASME Member has to have 10 or more years of active practice and at least 10 years of active corporate membership in ASME. 

Professor AndrĂ© Boehman has made exceptional contributions to the scholarly understanding of fuels, compression and spark-ignition engines, and engineering education. He has made pioneering contributions to understanding the effects of fundamental fuel properties on engine performance, particularly in the area of understanding how fuel composition impacts regulated emissions such as NOx and particulates. Professor Boehman is also an outstanding role model, mentor, and instructor to graduate and undergraduate mechanical engineering students. He has developed valuable new courses and established an internationally recognized engine laboratory for teaching and research.
