On Wednesday, April 10, at 5:00 p.m., the cyber warriors of ME450 will meet for a metal crusing, plastic smashing robotic battle. The event will happen outside of the Blue Lounge at 5:00 p.m. sharp. Viewing will be from the relative safety of the Blue Lounge and the contest will be in the courtyard immediately outside the bay windows. This term there will be one newly designed battle bot fighting a “crypto-bot”, of secret design (built by Evil Dr. Bob Dennis and his genetically mutated cronies from the last term of ME450), to be revealed only moments before the competition. A hazards course, with active mechanisms for destroying the robotic contestants, will be in full operation to provide a challenging environment to test robustness and controllability of the battlebots.
BE ADVISED: Things that are fun are also sometimes dangerous. The contest area will be cordoned off with yellow “CAUTION” tape. Please stay within the Blue Lounge or clear of the area while robots are operating.
