Six Staff to Receive Excellence Awards

08/07/2007

Six ME staff will be honored at the 2004 College of Engineering Excellence in Staff Service Awards event, which is set for 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 21 at the Dorothy L. and Harry E. Chesebrough Auditorium.

Leigh McGrath, administrator for the Engineering Research Center for Reconfigurable Manufacturing Systems, has been selected to receive an individual award. The ERC/RMS is the largest manufacturing research center in the United States, with 130 researchers and 25 companies involved.

Staff members in the ME Academic Services Office – Sue Davis, Laura Elgas, Sue Gow, Shanna Jessee and Cynthia Quann-White – will receive a team award. The ASO is the ME Department’s central academic resource for graduate and undergraduate students.

This is the second year in a row that an ME team has been honored with this award, and the third consecutive year that the department has celebrated an individual winner.

A reception will follow the awards ceremony in the lobby.
