Talia Moore, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, has been selected to receive the Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award from the Oak Ridge Associated Universities organization.
The Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award embodies the ORAU’s commitment to enriching the research skills and professional growth of young faculty members. This competitive research award provides seed money to junior faculty’s research projects and often results in additional funding from other sources.
Dr. Moore’s research centers on robot-animal interactions and the ecology, evolution, and control of arrhythmic motion in animals and robots.
In response to this honor, Dr. Moore said, “I’m so honored to receive this award and grateful that the ORAU values interdisciplinary research. I am excited to dive deeper into jerboa locomotion and design new robot gaits!”
Congratulations, Dr. Moore.
