Professor Galip Ulsoy ( https://me-web2.engin.umich.edu/zope/pubdir/bio?uniqname=ulsoy ) has been appointed as a member of the US Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Ground Systems Industrial Enterprise (GSIE), Board of Directors. The GSIE is a new organization aimed at operating the US Army’s industrial base in ground vehicles more like a business enterprise. The Board will have its first meeting on October 23, 2002 in Washington, D.C.
Ulsoy also serves on Advisory Boards for Singapore’s Institute for Manufacturing Technology, for the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, for the Penn State University Engineering College, and has just completed a term on the Sceintific Advisory Board for the Woxencentrum Manufacturing Research Center in Sweden.
