Professor Margaret Wooldridge has been elected to the grade of Fellow of ASME.
According to the citation: “Professor Margaret S. Wooldridge richly deserves recognition as an ASME fellow. In research, Professor Wooldridge has contributed greatly to the understanding of improved gas sensing, improved kinetic models for reactions in IC engines, and new experimental systems allowing interrogation of realistic kinetic mechanisms in these engines, resulting in over 35 scholarly journal papers. In teaching, Professor Wooldridge has achieved some of the highest student ratings in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UM, and won several national awards. Professor Wooldridge has supported her research efforts with many grants and contracts, with support from organizations including NSF, DoD, DoE and Honda.”
