Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Yue Fan, has received the 2022 Materials Processing and Manufacturing Division (MPMD) Young Leaders Professional Development Award from the Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society.
Fan’s research focuses on long-time scale atomistic simulation, irradiation defects structure evolution in structure materials, deformation mechanisms, and mechanical properties in amorphous systems. He most recently had a paper published in Physical Review Letters regarding his work with amorphous materials and their deformation.
In 2020, Fan was also the winner of a NSF CAREER Award and in 2021 was awarded in the American Chemical Society in their Doctoral Bew Investigator grant program.
Congratulations to Yue Fan on his great achievements!
