Research Interests

Experimental fluid mechanics with broad interests in multiphase flows, free-surface flows, surfactant dominated flows, and development of optical measurement techniques for thermos-fluids. Specific problems of interests include ocean waves, air-sea interaction, transport of particles by ocean waves, wave-wave interaction, accretion of ice on marine structures, interaction of waves with ice sheets. This research typically has environmental, naval, and/or industrial applications. (Looking to recruit graduate students for the Fall 2025)
