13th Annual Michael Korybalski Distinguished Lecture: Vijay Kumar Makenzie Schlessman

The 13th Annual Michael Korybalski Distinguished Lecture took place on November 5, 2021. This lecture welcomed Vijay Kumar, Nemirovsky Family Dean of Penn Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, and the lecture was entitled, “Swarms of Small, Flying Robots.”

Over 100 participants gathered in the Chesbrough Auditorium at the Chrysler Center as Kumar discussed the rapid advances in aerial robotics. Specifically, Kumar described his work developing small, autonomous flying robots for complex, GPS-denied environments. This type of aerial robot would have applications to assist with precision agriculture, first response, and mining.
