Professor Anna Stefanopoulou is the 2009 recipient of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Gustus L. Larson Memorial Award. The award honors engineering graduates who show outstanding achievement in mechanical engineering within ten to twenty years after the completion of their degrees. The award was established in 1974 in memory of Gustus Larson, an ASME Fellow and a leader in heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The award carries a 1000 dollar honorarium and covers travel expenses to the meeting presentation.
