How to Make an Advising Appointment

To schedule an appointment for academic advising, please visit our online scheduling system

  • If you are an Undergraduate student (declared or undeclared), you may meet with Kacie Cadotte, Kylie Welling or Pierce Houston
  • If you are a Graduate student, you may meet with Brandyn Jordan (ME MSE), Adam Mael (ME PhD), or Kathy Bishar (AUTO, GAME, MFG)
  • If you are a current or prospective SUGS student, you may meet with Pierce Houston

Available appointment times are colored blocks of time. You will see a phone icon or a person icon on an available appointment time. A phone icon means that the meeting can be held virtually through Zoom or by phone. A person icon will mean that you have the option of meeting in-person. See example below:

A Google Calendar invitation with a Zoom link, if applicable, will be sent to you.

Note: Please be aware of high traffic times, typically during the first three weeks of the term and during backpacking/registration. We encourage general visits outside of these peak times.

Virtual Drop-in Advising:

Undergraduate students only, Fall and Winter terms only

  • Drop-in Advising is meant for quick questions and are no more than 15 minute virtual meetings through Zoom. If the meeting takes longer than 15 minutes, we will ask you to schedule a follow-up appointment.  

  • Drop-In Advising will be available during the first week and peak times during the semester. You will be able to see drop-in advising availability on the online scheduling system.

Drop-In Advising Fall 2024 Schedule

  • Tuesday, August 27
    • 1:00 – 2:00 PM (queue closes at 1:45 PM)
  • Thursday, August6 29
    • 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (queue closes at 11:45 AM)

Click here to join the queue.  A brief email from an advisor containing the Zoom link will be sent to you when it is your turn. Note: the queue will close 15 minutes before walk-in advising ends.

Other Ways to Connect

  • For questions that do not require a meeting. Response times vary, but we strive to get back to students within 24-48 business hours.

    • For example: referrals, letter requests, overrides.

    • For appointments with the Undergraduate or Graduate Chair, please email and one of the advisors will set you up with an appointment, if necessary.
