Brei receives 2011 ASME Dedicated Service Award

BreiAssociate Professor Diann Brei has been recognized with the 2011 ASME Dedicated Service Award. This award was established to honor unusual dedicated voluntary service to the Society marked by outstanding performance, demonstrated effective leadership, prolonged and committed service, devotion, enthusiasm and faithfulness.

Brei received her Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and her B.S.E. in computer systems engineering from Arizona State University. Her research interests include design, smart materials and structures, sensor and actuator design, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), structural dynamics, vibration and noise control, microfabrication techniques for electroactive materials, and optimization of transducers and smart structures.
