Professor and Student Receive Outstanding Paper Award at Conference

Professor Jun Ni and his student, Dragan Djurdjanovic, have just won the Outstanding Paper Award for their paper “Linear State Space Modeling of Dimensional Machining Errors” at the Twenty-Ninth North American Manufacturing Research Conference. This research was sponsored by the Engineering Research Center for Reconfigurable Machining Systems at the University of Michigan.

Last year, another paper from the University of Michigan was also selected as the Outstanding Paper Award Finalist at the same conference series. The paper titlted “Auto-Tuning Adaptive Supervisory Control of Single-Plane Active Balancing Systems” was co-authored by Stephen Dyer, Jun Ni, Jianjun Shi, and Zhenhu Zhuang.
