The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has elected ME Professors Dawn Tilbury and Hong Im ASME Fellows. The Society’s Fellow Grade recognizes significant engineering achievements and contributions to the engineering profession.
ME Professor Dawn Tilbury is recognized for her leadership in dynamics and control of mechanical systems — including excellent research and education contributions in reconfigurable logic controllers, ground robots, networked control systems, and control of computing systems; and her outstanding service to the technical community.
ME Professor Hong Im is recognized for his leadership in computational modeling of combustion. He has established outstanding reputations in cutting-edge research in laminar and turbulent flows, demonstrated strong mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students, and demonstrated strong dedication in various science communities.
