Vivian Yee Winner of Grand Award at the Michigan Science and Engineering Fair

Vivian Yee is a high school working in Allen Liu’s Cellular and Molecular Systems Lab. Her project, “Evaluation of the Yes-associated protein as a target for breast cancer therapy,” has won the Grand Award at the Michigan Science and Engineering Fair and claimed a ticket to the International Science and Engineering Fair in May. In addition, she has been admitted to MIT’s Research Science Institute, one of the most prestigious science program for high school students. It provides 80 students internationally to work with MIT faculty in the summer and she is one of the 54 high school juniors in the US to be chosen.
