Research Interests

Automotive and light truck powertrain systems: challenges of meeting low emissions while improving fuel efficiency at affordable cost. Integration of aftertreatment with base engines to minimize emissions over vehicle lifetimes. Matching of engines and transmissions to vehicle and customer requirements. Diesel exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler fouling.
