ME Associate Profs. Diann Brei and Hong Im have recently been elected to the grade of AIAA Associate Fellow.
The title is to recognize “Individuals who have accomplished or been in charge of important engineering or scientific work… or have done original work of outstanding merit… or have otherwise made outstanding contributions to the arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics.”
Im is recognized for his research accomplishments in the area of theoretical and computational modeling of combustion and reacting flows. Brei is recognized for her research accomplishments in the field of adaptive materials and structures and her outstanding professional service and leadership in AIAA.
