Koren receives 2018 IJPR Best Paper Award

Yoram KorenME Professor Emeritus Yoram Koren has received the 2018 Best Paper Award of the International Journal of Production Research (IJPR) for his paper titled “Value Creation through Design for Scalability of Reconfiguring Manufacturing Systems.” Former ME Assistant Research Scientist Wencai Wang and ME alumnus Xi Gu (PhD, 2016) were co-authors on the paper.

In 2016, IJPR celebrated its 55th anniversary, and in 2017, its 55th volume anniversary. As part of these celebrations, IJPR has selected 15 best papers from papers published in the journal in 2016 and 2017. Koren is the James J. Duderstadt Distinguished University Professor Emeritus of Manufacturing, as well as the Paul G. Goebel Professor Emeritus of Engineering.
