ME professor named Faculty Director at the Center for Entrepreneurship

Volker Sick, DTE Energy Professor of Advanced Energy Research and Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Mechanical Engineering, has been named Faculty Director at the Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE).

Since its inception in 2007, CFE has delivered broad and inclusive access to a wide variety of educational opportunities, immersive learning experiences, timely and powerful mentorship, and meaningful connections that cater to the needs of students and faculty at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Sick also heads the Innovation for Impact: Climate Change program at CFE, which pairs student teams with emergent companies making a significant impact on the carbon balance of the planet, and is Director of the Global CO2 Initiative, which aims to get CO2 capture and use recognized and implemented as a mainstream climate solution.
